This is the 2nd edition of my newsletter. It is summer here in England, and I hope everyone is enjoying the sun while it lasts. Thanks for reading. I have been quite busy at work with projects while enjoying the weather.

News 

GitHub has released its own AI models that allow users to enhance their workflow by using different extensions. This new feature allows users to experiment with various AI models, integrate them into Codespaces and Visual Studio Code, and deploy them via Azure AI. This is currently in limited public beta and is now open for sign-up. https://github.com/marketplace/models/waitlist/join

Announcing a new OpenAI feature for developers on Azure
There is a new OpenAI model on Azure. The new model focuses on enhancing productivity through Structured Outputs, like JSON Schemas, for the new GPT-4o and GPT-4o mini models. Check it out here Announcing a new OpenAI feature for developers on Azure  | Microsoft Azure Blog

Azure Back to School 2024 - The community event is taking place next month, and I will be doing a session on integrating AI with Chaos Studio.

Experts Live Europe is taking place next month, September 23-25, in Budapest, Hungary. Sign up; I highly recommend it.

Women in Cybersecurity

There is an Introduction to CyberSecurity event on September 2nd. This is an amazing initiative for women to get into cybersecurity, created by awesome ladies in Amsterdam such as Emily van Putten, Ellen van Meurs, and Femke Cornelissen. The next event will be hosted at the Microsoft Office in Amsterdam.

Microsoft Azure Community User Group - The group will be hosting another in-person event in October. This time, it will be different as it will celebrate the anniversary in Dublin, Ireland, with my co-organizer Kevin Greene. Next Monday, we also have our next event online.

Call for Speakers 

DevEx Connect is a community-driven organization focused on DevOps, SRE, Cloud, and Platform Engineering. It aims to connect local communities globally. Over the next year, it plans to launch conferences in Manchester, London, San Francisco, and Sydney, and a Cloud Roadshow across various UK cities.
